Just before Christmas 2008, one of our favorite partners Goodby Silverstein & Partners asked us if we wanted to collaborate on a project for their new client – General Electric. With the project launching in connection to the Super Bowl in just a few months, we were happy to team up with them to create this nice little 3D art website.
How do you explain complex technology to an average person that can help us all save the environment? The technology is called The Smart Grid, which basically is an energy system that knows when you need energy – as well as when you don’t.
What we did was create a 3D world where the complex system came to life right before the user’s eyes. By inviting the user to interact with the system, the user could instantly see the results of how the Smart Grid helped save energy.
