North Kingdom wins Red Dot award

North Kingdom has in a few years time won Cannes Lions, One Show, D&AD, Eurobest and Guldägget. Now North Kingdoms designer Jonas Eriksson is being rewarded for his work on Moog Model 15 iOS Synthesizer with a Red Dot Best of the Best, within the Communication Design category.

The international design competition Red Dot is an iconic award that celebrates the best within design. This year over 8 000 entries were submitted, and 67 of these, including North Kingdom, were hand picked as ”best of the best” – which stands for a total 0,8% of entries.

“It feels amazing to see Jonas Erikssons work for Moog being rewarded with a Red Dot. This is our fourth project for Moog and it’s really exciting to see it being hand picked as one of the ”best of the best” winners” CEO Martin Johnson comments.

The best of the best winning project was motivated by the jury with the following words:
“This virtual analogue synthesiser app is special and outstanding because it looks and feels like a real synthesiser. Based on the visual appearance of the original from 1973, it allows users to interactively make the same complex adjustments resulting in a nice and high-quality sound. Moreover, users immediately hear what they edit or when operating complex interactions, as an entire simulation in the background allows the control of the sound in real time”.

This is North Kingdoms first Red Dot award. Big congrats to Jonas Eriksson!
