The digital design agency North Kingdom wins a Red Dot award for their design with iconic synthesizer company Moog Music.
Moog is known for their iconic synthesizers – used by artists such as The Weeknd and Radiohead, to legendary artists as Michael Jackson and Prince. With the ambition to transform the iconic MiniMoog synthesizer into a digital experience, North Kingdom was given the task of recreating the iconic design, feel and sound to the very last detail. The app even maintains the original knobs and scratches, translated into a modern digital product.
North Kingdom is now being awarded a Red Dot award in the Communication Design category for the MiniMoog Model D app.
The international design competition Red Dot is an iconic award that celebrates the best within design, and agency North Kingdom is a winner for the second year in a row.
-We are so excited that our work for Moog is being rewarded with a Red Dot. This is our third project for Moog and it’s really exciting to be a part of their journey in transforming the synthesizers into digital products, David Eriksson, Chief Creative Officer at North Kingdom comments.
The positive results have been pouring in since the release in March – the app went directly into App Store’s “New apps we love” and industry-leading media outlets like The Verge, Engadget, and Resident Advisor has featured articles about the app.
