We partnered with Google Skills to create The Skills Challenge for Google Cloud Next 2026. Using gamification and a connected digital experience to drive deeper onsite engagement. By turning the event into an interactive playground, attendees explored, learned, and competed while building real Google Cloud skills.
We drove engagement through a series of onsite and digital challenges designed around Google’s latest AI innovations and cloud products. Participants explored the event, completed interactive missions, and tested their skills through hands-on experiences that made learning engaging, social, and rewarding.

We created a series of mini-games to complement the challenge experience and keep engagement high throughout the event. Inspired by Google products and AI-driven interactions, the games introduced lighter, playful moments between learning activities, encouraging attendees to stay within the experience, compete with peers, and continue earning rewards.
As users completed challenges, they earned pieces of the custom-made companions.
Once fully assembled, users could collect their digital and physical collector pins.

Users assembled their own Google Skills companions by earning unique pieces through challenges and activities across the experience. As participants progressed, their companion gradually came to life—culminating in an exclusive physical collector’s pin that transformed digital achievement into a unique collectible reward.
